Bad Sectors? Low Level Format

It seems like there IS a way to “clear” bad sectors from your hard drive so you can use tools like GParted and the like - but I use “clear” in a ... , the drive’s own controller will silently avoid those bad sectors - from any <strong class="keyword">software</strong>’s point of view, those sectors or clusters just don’t exist anymore.
